Pride Plumbing was called out for issues with two shower valves. For the first shower valve, we pulled the cartridge - we could see immediately that it was seized up. We put a little grease around it, and it started working almost instantly. We put it back in it, tested it, and it worked perfectly. For the second shower valve, we went to remove its cartridge to see what condition it was in, and as we were taking its screw out, we could tell that the top-hat behind the handle felt loose. We reinstalled it, tightened the top-hat, and everything worked properly. We provided a cost estimate to replace the shower valves with either new Gerber or Delta models.

Pride Plumbing was called out to investigate the cause of a water stain on a downstairs ceiling and a sewage odor in the home. Our inspection found that 1) they had recently had someone come out to repair a toilet flange in an upstairs bathroom; and 2) after pulling that toilet, we saw that the flange hadn't been bolted to the floor, it had just been set in place. We bolted it down and installed two new wax seal gaskets on the flange. We reset the toilet, tested it multiple times for leaks, and the issue was corrected. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the toilet with a new Gerber Viper model. This would include inspecting/cleaning/replacing the flange, replacing the toilet bowl, toilet tank, tank to bowl gasket and bolts, seat, wax ring gasket, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless steel braided water supply line.

Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage backing up into the home. We inserted a camera into the outside main sewer septic drain line and it revealed damage from roots. We provided a cost estimate to 1) dig a ditch from the house to the town sewer tap to expose and remove the outside main sewer septic drain line; 2) install a new 4-inch PVC sewer drain line (connecting it to the main drain line under the home) along with proper cleanouts and fittings per code; 3) install tracer wire in the ditch along with the new sewer drain line; and 4) backfill, tamp, and spread grass seed and straw after the work has been inspected and approved by the county's Inspection Department.
