Pride Plumbing was called out for a Gerber pressure assist toilet tank that would run constantly and not fill. Our inspection determined that the tank’s Flushmate pressure assist cartridge was malfunctioning. After turning off the water and draining the tank, we used a Flushmate C-100500-KIT and replaced the pressure assist cartridge assembly. We then turned the water back on, refilled the tank, and tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to: 1) trench a ditch from the water meter to the house to expose and remove the outside main water supply line; 2) install a new 1-inch black roll and PEX outside main water supply line from the water meter to the house along with installing tracer wire; 3) connect the new water line to an existing water line connection under the house and install a new ball valve main water shut-off and new thermal expansion tank in the crawlspace; 4) install a new pressure reducing valve (PRV), ball valve, and check valve at the water meter in the meter box; 5) test the new water line for leaks and working order; and 6) backfill and tamp the ditch after the work is completed and approved by Montgomery County’s Inspection Department.
Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work: 1) replaced a 20-gallon electric Rheem 81VP20S lowboy water heater with a new 38-gallon electric Rheem PROE38-S2-RH95-B lowboy model (this included removing and disposing of the old water heater after disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines; installing the new water heater, thermal expansion tank, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater's water connections, brass drain valve, connecting the unit’s electrical connections (adding a Romex connector), bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature); and 2) installed a new DAB water booster pump near where the black roll main waterline came in underneath the home at the foundation.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a toilet tank that would run constantly and not fill. Our inspection found that the toilet tank's flapper was deteriorated and would not seal off the tank which caused it to run constantly. We replaced the toilet tank's flapper with a new 3-inch red universal model and tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues. We also made an adjustment to the tank's water fill valve. We provided a cost estimate to replace the toilet with a new Gerber Viper model. This would include draining and pulling the old toilet, inspecting/cleaning/replacing the flange, replacing the toilet bowl, toilet tank, flapper, water fill valve, tank to bowl gasket and bolts, seat, wax ring gasket, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless steel braided water supply line.
