Job Locations and Reviews
Pride Plumbing was called out to investigate a mixing valve only allowing lukewarm water to two rooms. We went through and shut off the mixing valves one by one and isolated the issue to one of the rooms. It was our belief that at this room's kitchen sink faucet, when all other fixtures were cut off, it would cause the water to temper to around 79 degrees. The faucet was also loose and it's cold-side water supply stop would not cut off all the way. The customer opted to allow their building maintenance to replace the faucet and water supply stop.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to 1) demo a kitchen sink, dishwasher, bathroom sink, toilet, and shower; 2) in the kitchen, install a kitchen sink and faucet, dishwasher, refrigerator ice maker, and gas supply line to a gas stove; 3) in the bathroom, install a sink and faucet, toilet, and tile shower (including the shower valve, valve handle(s), showerhead, and drain); 4) make all the water and drain connections underneath the home; and 5) install an Honest Water Filter Company Silver Plus whole-house water filtration system (this includes installing the unit's manifold with a Defender pre-filter and two 5-micron filters along with the bypass system, rinse valve and pressure gauge; mounting the water filter base, running and connecting new PEX piping inlet and outlet water supply lines to the base and the existing water lines underneath the home and adding ball water shutoff valves; installing the water filter housing, and testing for leaks and proper operation.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak underneath a kitchen sink and to replace the rubber hot and cold hoses going to a GE washing machine. For the sink, our inspection found that it was coming from a broken slip joint nut attached to the basket strainer. We replaced the slip joint nut and flanged tailpiece washer and tested for leaks with no further issues. We then replaced the rubber washing machine hoses with new braided stainless-steel hoses.
Pride Plumbing was called out for an American Standard 4149A toilet tank that would take a long time to fill. Our inspection determined that the tank’s water fill valve was full of sediment. After shutting off the water, we drained the water from the tank, replaced the water fill valve with a new Fluidmaster PRO45B model along with its above floor braided stainless steel water supply line. Then we turned the water back on, filled the tank, and tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a clogged walk-in shower drain. We used a sewer machine down through the shower's drain and cleared the blockage. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the shower's Watco, drain assembly, P-trap, and drain line through the floor to under the house in the crawlspace, and to where it ties into the main sewer drain stack, with new PVC piping and fittings.
