Pride Plumbing was called out for a toilet tank that would run constantly and not fill. Our inspection found that the toilet tank's flapper was deteriorated and would not seal off the tank which caused it to run constantly. We provided a cost estimate to replace the flapper.
Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work: 1) we tightened a loose nut on a bathroom sink's popup assembly lift rod and stopped a leak; and 2) on an American Standard toilet, we replaced the escutcheon covering its water line coming in from the wall, rebuilt the water supply stop, replaced the toilet tank's water fill valve, and adjusted the flapper so the toilet would flush without having to hold down the handle.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a 50-gallon electric Rheem 81MV52D-B water heater not heating the water. We used a Mainline ML20018 universal tune-up kit and replaced the unit's top and bottom elements and thermostats and corrected the issue. There was also a water leak at the water heater. Our inspection found that the leak was coming from one of the water heater's supply lines. After shutting off the water, we cut out the leaking section of pipe and repaired it with new PEX piping and fittings. We then cut the water back on and tested for leaks with no further issues. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the unit with a new 50-gallon electric model.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a clogged washing machine drain line. We provided cost estimates to 1) use a sewer machine down through the drain line in an attempt to clear the blockage; and 2) replace the washing machine's drain assembly, P-trap, and drain line through the floor to under the house in the crawlspace, and to where it ties into the main sewer drain stack, with new PVC piping and fittings.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a leaking Delta bathtub/shower faucet valve. Our inspection determined that the faucet valve's dual-function cartridge was bad. We replaced it with a new Delta RP46463 dual-function cartridge and corrected the issue. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the faucet valve with a new Delta model with chrome trim. This would include cutting an access in the shower wall and replacing the valve along with short sections of its hot- and cold-water supply line with new PEX piping and fittings.
