Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 38-gallon electric A.O. Smith E640L45DVB 110 lowboy hot water heater with a new 38-gallon electric Rheem PROE38-S2-RH95-B lowboy model. This included removing and disposing of the old water heater; installing the new water heater, new ball water shut-off valves, new PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, wiring the water heater's electrical connections (adding a Romex connector), and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak behind an upstairs wall. Our test found that water was running into a downstairs bathroom. When we cut an access into the wall at a light switch, we found faulty wiring that had burnt the conduit, and this had burnt a hole in the PEX pipe running beside it, thus causing the leak. We cut out the damaged and leaking section of piping and replaced it with new PEX piping and fittings.
Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a deteriorated section of cast iron drainpipe with new PVC piping and fittings - adding a new double wye, Santee, bushings, and two new cleanouts. We then replaced a section of the pipe's vent pipe with new PVC piping and fittings. We connected the new PVC pipes onto the existing cast iron piping with no-hub couplings.
Pride Plumbing came out and repaired a leaking copper water supply line behind one of the cells. We cut off the water to the cell, cut out and replaced the leaking copper water supply line with new copper pipe and ProPress copper fittings, turned the water back on to the cell, and tested for leaks with no further issues.
Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a toilet with a new Gerber Viper ADA elongated toilet with an open front seat. This included draining and pulling the old toilet, inspecting and cleaning the flange, replacing the toilet bowl, toilet tank, tank to bowl gasket and bolts, seat, wax ring gasket, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless steel braided water supply line. Once installed, we tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues. We then went next door to the county's Animal Shelter and used a sewer machine down through a kennel floor drain and cleared a blockage. We ran hot water down the drain for 15 minutes to test for proper drainage, and it showed to be clear.
