Pride Plumbing was called out to investigate the cause of a water stain on a downstairs ceiling and a sewage odor in the home. Our inspection found that 1) they had recently had someone come out to repair a toilet flange in an upstairs bathroom; and 2) after pulling that toilet, we saw that the flange hadn't been bolted to the floor, it had just been set in place. We bolted it down and installed two new wax seal gaskets on the flange. We reset the toilet, tested it multiple times for leaks, and the issue was corrected. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the toilet with a new Gerber Viper model. This would include inspecting/cleaning/replacing the flange, replacing the toilet bowl, toilet tank, tank to bowl gasket and bolts, seat, wax ring gasket, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless steel braided water supply line.

Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage backing up into the home. We inserted a camera into the outside main sewer septic drain line and it revealed damage from roots. We provided a cost estimate to 1) dig a ditch from the house to the town sewer tap to expose and remove the outside main sewer septic drain line; 2) install a new 4-inch PVC sewer drain line (connecting it to the main drain line under the home) along with proper cleanouts and fittings per code; 3) install tracer wire in the ditch along with the new sewer drain line; and 4) backfill, tamp, and spread grass seed and straw after the work has been inspected and approved by the county's Inspection Department.

We pulled a Kohler toilet, used a pressure device down through the toilet's flange, and cleared a blockage in the main outside sewer septic drain line. After replacing the toilet bowl's wax ring gasket and toilet bowl bolts and caps, and resetting the toilet, the issue was corrected. Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work: 1) dug down at a water meter and exposed the building's pressure line assembly; 2) added a new 3-inch pressure reducing valve (PRV) and a new 3-inch ball valve at the new water meter base; 3) dug down and exposed the building's outside main water supply line from the water meter to the building; 4) removed the old water line and installed new 3-inch PVC pressure piping with tracer wire in the ditch and connected it to the water line going into the building; 5) tested the new water line for leaks; and 6) backfilled, tamped, and spread grass seed and straw after the work had been inspected and approved by the county's Inspection Department.
