Pride Plumbing was called out for low water pressure in the building. Our inspection and tests found that a main water valve was not fully opened. After opening the valve all the way, proper water pressure was restored. There was also an issue with a toilet tank running constantly and not filling. We replaced the tank's flapper with a new Lavelle 3060BP red Korky universal flapper and corrected the issue. We provided a cost estimate to replace the toilet with a new Gerber Viper model. This would include draining and pulling the old toilet, inspecting/cleaning/replacing the flange, replacing the toilet bowl, toilet tank, flapper, water fill valve, tank to bowl gasket and bolts, seat, wax ring gasket, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless steel braided water supply line.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to perform the following work: 1) turn off the water to the affected chase; 2) remove a malfunctioning faucet valve from a toilet; 3) use copper ProPress fittings to replace the toilet's water supply stop for a new Acorn control valve; 4) install all off the new Acorn control valve parts; 5) turn the water back on and test leaks; and 6) make the appropriate adjustments to the control valve.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a sewage backing up into the home. We used a sewer machine down through a cleanout on a kitchen sink's drain and cleared the blockage.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a slow-draining bathtub. We removed the tub's drain grid cover, cleared hair out of the drain, and restored proper drainage. We also provided cost estimates to 1) replace the bathtub/shower's drain assembly, P-trap, and drain line through the floor to under the house in the crawlspace, and to where it ties into the main sewer drain stack, with a new Watco drain and PVC piping and fittings; and 2) either rebuild the bathtub/shower's leaking three-handle valve by replacing its stems, washers, seats, handles, and escutcheons or replace it with either a new Delta single-handle model or Gerber three-handle model (this would include cutting an access in the shower wall, replacing the valve along with short sections of its hot- and cold-water supply lines with new PEX piping and fittings, and adding new stems, washers, seats, handles, and escutcheons).
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak on a copper supply line in the crawlspace. The line was connected to a redundant ball valve, so we just capped the line. We also provided a cost estimate to repipe and replace the water supply lines under the house in the crawlspace, going to the fixtures in the kitchen (sink faucet, dishwasher, and ice maker), one bathroom (sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower), the washing machine (installing a new plastic washer box and hot and cold hose bibs or boiler drains), and the water heater, with new PEX piping and fittings (installing new 1/4 turn water shut-off valves on each fixture inside the house along with new above-floor stainless steel braided water supply lines) and replace two outside hose bib spigots with new Woodford frost-free models.
