Pride Plumbing was called out for no hot water from a 50-gallon electric A.O. Smith ENS-50 water heater. Our inspection and tests determined that one of the unit's thermostats had tripped. We reset the thermostat, waited a few minutes, tested the water temperature, and the unit was operating properly. We also provided a cost estimate to either rebuild (by replacing the elements and thermostats) or replace the unit with a new 50-gallon electric model. This would include draining, removing and disposing of the old water heater; installing water heater pads, the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater's water connections, a brass drain valve, connecting the unit’s electrical connections (adding a Romex connector), bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a sewage leak in they yard. We used a water pressure device at an outside cleanout and cleared a blockage in the main outside sewer septic drain line. Because of this, we inserted a camera into the drain line, but it did not reveal any issues.
Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a non-working 40-gallon electric A.O. Smith ENS-40 110 water heater with a new 40-gallon electric Bradford White RE340S6-1NCWW model. First, after shutting off the water and disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed water heater pads, the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater (adding a Romex connector). Finally, we turned the water back on and bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a two-handle bathroom sink faucet with a hard-to-turn cold-side handle. We disassembled the faucet and found that sand had accumulated underneath the cold-side cartridge. We cleaned all faucet components to eliminate the sand and flushed the water shutoff valve underneath the sink three times with water to ensure any remaining sand was removed. After reassembling the faucet, we tested it and found it to be working properly again.
Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work: 1) replaced a toilet with a new customer-supplied American Standard model (this included draining and pulling the old toilet, inspecting and cleaning the flange, replacing the toilet bowl, toilet tank, tank to bowl gasket and bolts, seat, wax ring gasket, toilet bowl bolts, toilet bowl bolt washers, toilet bowl bolt caps, and above-floor stainless-steel braided water supply line); and 2) replaced a kitchen sink's leaking P-trap and end outlet waste. We tested both repairs for leaks and proper operation with no further issues.
