Pride Plumbing meticulously installed a new single-compartment stainless-steel handwash sink and T&S faucet. The sink was securely mounted to the wall, ensuring it was perfectly level. We ran hot and cold PEX water lines from existing sink lines, guaranteeing a reliable water supply. The drain lines were connected from the new sink to the old sink, maintaining proper drainage. The faucet was installed, and its hot and cold water supply lines were connected. We rigorously tested all water and drain lines for leaks and functionality, ensuring everything worked perfectly. Finally, we cleaned up all work debris and disposed of it properly, leaving the area spotless and the new sink fully operational.
The customer contacted Pride Plumbing about unusual noises coming from their 40-gallon electric Rheem PROE40-M2-RH95 water heater, which had been resolved by turning off the breaker. The unit, five years old, did not produce any sounds during our inspection. We examined the unit's connections and components, ensuring everything was functioning correctly. We also tested the hot water temperature at various points in the home, finding no issues. An electrical box was wired to the water heater, potentially linked to the problem. The issue remains unresolved, requiring further investigation.
Pride Plumbing was called out to assess a situation involving a recently installed 80-gallon A.O. Smith water heater that led to increased water and electric bills. The homeowner was concerned about the high costs and suspected an issue with the installation. We first checked the water temperature, which was 125 degrees, and noticed the temperature and pressure relief valve (T&P) was constantly running. We also found that the pressure relief valve (PRV) was not installed, resulting in a dangerously high pressure of 160 psi. The homeowner plans to contact the original installers for assistance, and if needed, will call us for the repairs.
