Why Does My Toilet Always Clog?
Clogged toilets are a common household plumbing problem. But what if they’re recurring? A toilet that constantly clogs could be caused by flushing non-flushable items, like wipes or hygiene products. Another cause is low-flow toilets that don’t have the flushing power to remove waste. Blockages in the drain pipes or sewer lines, often due to tree roots or mineral buildup, can lead to recurring clogs.
If you have a stubborn clog that won’t go away no matter what you do, call Pride Plumbing. A thorough cleaning may do the trick, or in severe cases, you may need to replace the toilet.
Don’t panic if you experience a plumbing disaster in the middle of the night. Relax and call us for our 24-hour emergency services.
Is My Water Heater Failing?
Nothing can ruin your day faster than running out of hot water during your morning shower. This could be a sign that your water heater needs some TLC or you need a complete replacement. Symptoms of a failing water heater include:
Inconsistent or No Hot Water: If the water doesn’t heat properly or turns cold quickly, it could be a sign of a malfunctioning water heater.
Strange Noises: Rumbling, banging, or popping sounds from the water heater often indicate sediment buildup at the bottom of the tank.
Rust or Discolored Water: If the water appears rusty or has a metallic taste, it might be a sign of corrosion inside the tank.
Water Leaks: Leaks around the water heater indicate that the unit is failing and could cause significant damage if not addressed.
Age: Water heaters over 10-15 years old are more prone to failure and often need to be replaced.

Pride Plumbing came out and connected water inlet and outlet lines to eight portable water-cooled spot cooler units (supplied by United Rentals) and routed their condensation and drain lines so that they could drain into nearby sinks.

Pride Plumbing came out and cut, jackhammered, and removed a section of concrete flooring. We then dug down and installed the PVC drain line going to a washer box. We then installed the hookups for the washing machine (this included installing PEX hot and cold-water supply lines, a PVC drain, and a ProPlus plastic washer box with hot and cold valves; and tying the water supply and drain lines into their respective water and sewer mains).

Pride Plumbing came out and 1) repiped and replaced the drain lines behind the wall and in the attic, going to a) the fixtures in the kitchen (sink and dishwasher) and two bathrooms (sinks, toilets, and bathtubs/showers - replacing the toilet bowl flanges and wax seal gaskets, the P-traps underneath all the sinks and installing new PVC piping, fittings and supports under the house for each fixture); and b) the washing machine; 2) repiped and replaced the water supply lines behind the wall and in the attic, going to the fixtures in the kitchen (sink faucet, dishwasher, and ice maker), two bathrooms (sinks, toilets, and bathtubs/showers), the washing machine (installing a new washer box and hot and cold hose bibs), and the water heater, with new PEX piping and fittings (installing new 1/4 turn water shut-off valves on each fixture inside the house along with new above-floor stainless steel water supply lines); and 3) replaced two outside hose bib spigots with new frost-free models.

Pride Plumbing was called out for a clogged kitchen sink drain. First, we cut the wall to gain access to the sink's cast iron drain vent behind the sheetrock. Next, we cut the vent line and then used a sewer machine down through the pipe and cleared the blockage. Finally, we used a new Fernco coupling to reconnect the two sections of drainpipe.

Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a broken centerset single-handle kitchen sink faucet and sprayer with a new Delta 400-DST centerset single-handle model with a sprayer. This included removing the old faucet, mounting the new faucet, connecting the sprayer, and replacing the hot and cold above-floor water supply lines underneath the sink with new braided stainless-steel ones.
