While waiting for the electrician, we took the opportunity to assess the water heater's age, noting it was installed in 2007. Pride Plumbing was contacted to resolve a shower valve issue. We began by accessing the area through the back side of the shower. Using PEX pipe and fittings, we installed a customer-supplied Moen shower valve. Precision was key as we ensured the valve was securely in place. Once the installation was complete, we turned the water back on and conducted a thorough inspection for leaks. Fortunately, there were none, and the shower valve operated flawlessly. To maintain accessibility for future maintenance, we installed a plastic plumbing access panel over the hole we cut in the wall. Although the customer-supplied valve is not covered under warranty, we confirmed its proper functionality. The job was completed efficiently, and the shower is now fully operational.

Pride Plumbing undertook a comprehensive project to install a new shower pan. The process began with the careful removal of the existing concrete in front of the toilet. We then cut and busted the concrete to create a suitable space for the new setup. A 3-inch wye was added to the main line, ensuring a secure connection. The plumbing line was skillfully routed over to the wall, following precise measurements and standards. We stubbed up a 3-inch line for the upstairs shower, preparing for future installations. Finally, the area was meticulously filled with dirt and properly tamped to ensure stability and safety, completing the project with attention to detail and quality.

After a thorough inspection, it was determined that the hydrant had snapped, necessitating either a replacement or capping off. The customer opted for the capping solution. We proceeded to remove the damaged hydrant and securely capped the line to prevent further leakage. This action effectively resolved the issue. Additionally, we provided a detailed cost estimate for trenching a ditch from the water meter to the home, replacing the existing black roll main outside water supply line with new black roll and PEX piping and fittings, and installing a new pressure reducing valve (PRV) and ball water shutoff valve at the water meter.

Smith ENS-40 water heater had caught fire, necessitating immediate attention. Additionally, the expansion tank was waterlogged and improperly strapped, which could lead to further complications. A water leak was also detected from a shut-off valve and a 90-degree fitting. We replaced the faulty water heater with a new 40-gallon electric Bradford White RE340S6-1NCWW model, installed a new expansion tank, and secured it properly. The shut-off valve and fitting were also replaced to stop the leak. After refilling the new heater, we restored power. All systems were functioning correctly, ensuring hot water availability. We also provided a cost estimate for repiping and replacing water supply lines with new PEX piping.
