Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 40-gallon electric American E62-40L-045DV lowboy water heater with a new 40-gallon electric Bradford White lowboy model. This included removing and disposing of the old water heater; installing the new water heater, new ball water shut-off valves, new PEX and stainless steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, bleeding the air out of the water lines, ensuring that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, wiring the water heater's electrical connections, and setting the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a Liberty Ascent II macerating toilet not working properly. Our inspection found a toilet full of waste and evidence of an overflow. After flushing the toilet and doing a manual pumping, we realized that the pump's check valve was causing the issue. We turned the ball valve and removed the union nut on the check valve. Once we got it opened, we found debris (paper towels and elastic strings) clogging the check valve. After the stoppage was cleared, we reconnected everything, ran a few test flushes, and the pump worked as it should.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided a cost estimate to 1) repipe and replace the drain lines under the house in the crawlspace, going to a) the fixtures in the kitchen (sink and dishwasher) and one bathroom (sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower - replacing the toilet bowl flange and wax seal gasket, the bathtub/shower drain, and the P-traps underneath all the sinks and installing new PVC piping, fittings and supports under the house for each fixture); and b) the washing machine; 2) repipe and replace the water supply lines under the house in the crawlspace, going to the fixtures in the kitchen (sink, dishwasher, and ice maker) one bathroom (sink, toilet, and bathtub/shower), the washing machine (installing a new washer box and boiler drains), and the water heater, with new PEX piping and fittings (installing new 1/4 turn water shut-off valves on each fixture inside the house along with new above-floor stainless steel water supply lines); and 3) replace two outside hose bib spigots.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak in the yard. We dug down and found a leak on a section of the CPVC outside main water supply line at an old repair. We cut out the faulty section of pipe and repaired it with new PEX piping and fittings. The customer also had two toilet tanks that would run constantly and not fill. Our inspection found that the toilet tanks’ water fill valves were malfunctioning. We replaced the water fill valves with new Fluidmaster PRO45B models along with their above-floor braided stainless steel water supply lines and tested for leaks and proper operation with no issues. We also provided a cost estimate to trench a ditch from an existing water meter to the home and replace the CPVC main outside water supply line with new black roll and PEX piping and fittings along with installing a new pressure reducing valve (PRV) and ball water shutoff valve at the water meter.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak underneath a kitchen sink. Our inspection found that one of the sink's basket strainers was leaking. We replaced the basket strainer, tested for leaks, and the issue was corrected.
