Pride Plumbing was called out to investigate the source of a sewage odor in the home. Our thorough inspection was unable to determine the cause of the odor. We provided cost estimates to perform a sewer line inspection and to use a Superior Signal 5E electric smoke blower to perform a smoke test.
Pride Plumbing came out and performed the following work: 1) used a plunger to clear a blockage in a downstairs bathtub and sink; 2) adjusted the waste arm on a second kitchen sink's drain by trimming it to an appropriate height; and 3) replaced a broken handle on the cold side of an upstairs bathroom sink faucet by installing a new stem extender. We also provided a cost estimate to replace the kitchen sink's under-sink drain assembly, P-trap, and drain line, and to where it ties into the main sewer drain stack, with new PVC piping and fittings.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a clogged bathroom sink drain. We removed the sink drain’s P-trap and drain line going into the wall and used a sewer machine down through the drain and cleared the blockage. After reinstalling the P-trap, we ran hot water for several minutes and the sink drained as it should without any leaks.
Pride Plumbing responded to a sewage backup in the home. After using a Sonar location device to find the septic tank and inspecting it, we found it to be full. We called in our septic pumping truck, uncovered the septic tank, removed its lid, pumped it out, cleaned the tank’s filter, ensured proper drainage and flushing, reset the lid, and covered the tank back up. We also provided a cost estimate to install a septic tank riser (so that the tank’s access cover is at ground level for easier future access).
Pride Plumbing was called out for sewage backing up into the home. We used a water pressure jetter device at a cleanout underneath the home and cleared a blockage in the main outside sewer septic drain line. We tested multiple fixtures for proper drainage with no issues. We also provided a cost estimate to 1) trench a ditch from the house to the town sewer tap to expose and remove the outside main sewer septic drain line; 2) install a new 4-inch PVC sewer drain line (connecting it to the main drain line under the home) along with proper cleanouts and fittings per code; 3) install tracer wire in the ditch along with the new sewer drain line; and 4) backfill, tamp, and spread grass seed and straw after the work has been inspected and approved by Stanly County's Inspection Department.
