Pride Plumbing came out and replaced a leaking 30-gallon electric Rheem 71-30S water heater with a new 40-gallon electric Bradford White RE340S6-1NCWW model. First, after shutting off the water and disconnecting its electrical connections and inlet and outlet water lines, we removed and disposed of the old water heater. Then we installed rubber water heater pads, the new water heater, ball water shut-off valves, PEX and stainless-steel water supply lines to the water heater connectors, a brass drain valve, and wired up the electrical connections to the new water heater (adding a Romex connector). Finally, we turned the water back on and bled the air out of the water lines, ensured that the unit’s temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve was properly vented, and set the unit to its appropriate operating temperature.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a water leak underneath a bathroom sink. Our inspection found that the leak was coming from a defective water supply stop. We cut out and replaced both hot and cold supply stops, short sections of their water supply lines coming up through the floor with new PEX piping and fittings, replaced their braided stainless steel water supply lines going to the faucet, and tested for leaks with no issues.
Pride Plumbing was called out for a well pump constantly running and brown water coming through the faucets. Our inspection and tests of the well found that its Well-X-Trol well tank was waterlogged and its pressure switch was defective. We provided a cost estimate to replace the well tank, tank tee, and pressure switch.
Pride Plumbing came out and provided cost estimates to 1) trench a ditch from an existing well to the house to expose and remove the outside main water supply line; install a new 1-inch black roll and PEX outside main water supply line from the well to the house along with installing tracer wire; connect the new water line to an existing water line connection under the house and install a new ball valve main water shut-off and new thermal expansion tank in the crawlspace; and test the new water line for leaks and working order; and 2) combine a new submersible pump, black roll piping, torque arrester, and wiring and insert them down into the well; install a new 30/50 pump switch, pressure gauge, and pressure tank and charge the tank; and seal the well using a heat shrink kit.
Pride Plumbing was called out for no hot water in the home. Our inspection found that the main hot water supply line underneath the home in the crawl space was leaking. After shutting off the water, we cut out the leaking section of pipe and replaced it with new PEX piping and fittings. We cut the water back on and tested for leaks with no further issues.
